Tagada charges cards through the processors you connect in it. Your Tagada store needs an approved processor in its payment flow before it can charge a card.

In Tagada

  1. In your Tagada dashboard, open Settings, then API Keys, and make a secret key. Its ID starts with sk_crm_, or is a long code of letters and digits with dashes. A public key, which starts with tp_pk_, is refused.
  2. Note your store’s ID, which starts with store_.
There is nothing else to set up in Tagada: saving puts Shoply’s webhook in your store. Tagada’s sandbox (app.tagada.dev) has keys of its own. A sandbox key charges nothing: test with the card number 4242 4242 4242 4242, any future expiry date and any three-digit code.

In Shoply

  1. In your Shoply dashboard, open Settings, then Payment Methods.
  2. Under Add a Payment Method, find Tagada and press Connect.
  3. Paste the store’s ID into Store ID and the key into API Key.
  4. Press Test Connection to try what you pasted, then Connect App.
Saving tries the key as a live one and then as a sandbox one, and asks Tagada for your store with it. Test Connection names the store and the currencies it charges in. If you sell subscriptions, the card a subscription is bought with stays saved in your Tagada store, and each renewal is charged to it on its day, through whichever processor your payment flow picks. A renewal whose card’s bank wants the buyer there to approve it is not charged again: the buyer is emailed the link to pay. How Tagada works once it is connected, at the checkout and on an order, is in Payment methods.
