# Set up NOWPayments

> Where your NOWPayments API key and IPN secret are

NOWPayments takes crypto on your checkout: the buyer picks a coin and pays to an address shown there.

## In NOWPayments

1. In your NOWPayments dashboard, open **Store settings** and enter the wallet address your coins are paid out to. Press save.
2. Scroll up to **API keys**, press **Add new key**, and copy the key.
3. In the same **Store settings**, make your IPN secret key and copy it. NOWPayments shows it once.
4. In the coin settings, choose which coins buyers may pay in.

NOWPayments' payment notifications go to an address Shoply sends with each payment, so there is no address to paste into NOWPayments.

## In Shoply

1. In your Shoply dashboard, open **Settings**, then **Payment Methods**.
2. Under **Add a Payment Method**, find **NOWPayments** and press **Connect**.
3. Paste the key into **API Key** and the secret into **IPN Secret Key**.
4. Press **Test Connection** to try what you pasted, then **Connect App**.

**Test Connection** says whether the key works and how many coins the account takes. An account with no coin switched on is refused, since no buyer could pay with it.
