# Set up Heleket

> Making a Heleket merchant, and where its keys are

Heleket takes crypto on your checkout. Its keys come from a merchant, which Heleket has to approve first.

## In Heleket

1. Open the **Business** tab, then **Merchants**, and press **Create merchant**. Name it and press **Create merchant** again.
2. Open the merchant's settings and press **Leave a request**. Enter your store's address and press **Submit**.
3. Confirm that the address is yours, as Heleket asks, and wait for its moderation.
4. Once Heleket has approved the merchant, open its **Settings** tab and copy the **Merchant ID** and the payment API key.

Use the payment key. The payout key, under your account's own **Settings**, is for sending money out, and Shoply never asks for it.

## In Shoply

1. In your Shoply dashboard, open **Settings**, then **Payment Methods**.
2. Under **Add a Payment Method**, find **Heleket** and press **Connect**.
3. Paste the **Merchant ID** and the key into **Payment API Key**.
4. Press **Test Connection** to try what you pasted, then **Connect App**.

**Test Connection** says whether the keys work and how many coins the merchant takes.
