# Your own domain

> Put your store at an address of your own

Every store answers at `your-name.myshoply.gg`. You can also connect a domain you own, such as `shop.example.com`.

**1. Add the domain**

Open **Domains** in the dashboard and enter the domain, with no `https://` in front. You are shown the two DNS records it needs.

**2. Add the two records**

At whoever runs your domain's DNS, add a `CNAME` record for the domain that points at the target the dashboard showed you, and the `TXT` record that shows the domain is yours.

**3. Wait for it to go live**

The domain's card ticks off three things as they happen: **Points to Shoply**, **Proved Yours** and **Secure**, once its certificate is issued. With all three it reads **Live**, and your store answers at your domain. Until then each one that is missing says what it still needs.

**Show DNS Records** on the card brings the records back whenever you need them, for instance when you move to another DNS provider. A store has one domain of its own: **Remove Domain** takes it off, and then you can connect another.

## Things to know

* Your store goes on answering at its myshoply.gg address too.
* The **customer panel** stays at the myshoply.gg address. A link to it from your domain leads there.
* **Report Abuse** on a store at its own domain leads to the same form at the myshoply.gg address.
* The store's myshoply.gg name can be changed, once a week. The old name leads to the new one.
